Spearhead Studios, a branch of EveryMatrix, has obtained a permit to operate in the Netherlands. The game developer will enter the Dutch market after receiving local authorization for its casino content and RGS platform.

Spearhead Studios will enter the Dutch market with its Remote Gaming Server (RGS) platform, distributing games from various other developers in the nation. These developers include Armadillo Studios, Funfair Games, JVL, and Lady Luck Games.

Spearhead has also received certification in Denmark, Sweden, the Baltic countries, Belarus, Romania, Croatia, Malta, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Spearhead Studios’ Head of Operations, Mathias Larsson, stated: “Spearhead Studios and our partners are always quick to enter new lucrative markets.” “We are currently active in 14 markets and are constantly seeking the next opportunity to broaden our reach. The Dutch market has shown strong interest in our games, and we are prepared to take advantage of this by obtaining certification in the area.”

The announcement follows the Netherlands opening its regulated online gambling market in October, after several postponements due to factors including disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Owing to stringent regulations imposed by the Dutch gambling authority, the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA), the market initially launched with a mere 10 authorized operators. In the meantime, unlicensed operators were instructed to restrict access for all Dutch patrons.
