The betting software firm, previously known as Onion Bag, has appointed Andrew Lee, former head of William Hill Online, as their new chief executive. Simultaneously, they have rebranded themselves as Voxbet.

Lee brings a wealth of experience in the betting industry, having held leadership roles beyond William Hill. He previously served as the head of World Remit and the CEO of Star Group International Sports Betting.

Lee expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am thrilled to join the talented Voxbet team. Their innovative technology is already impressive, and they are collaborating with some of the leading betting organizations globally.”

“I believe Voxbet possesses one of the most compelling concepts in the betting industry. They are addressing real challenges faced by sports bettors and their clientele. They are making it easier for customers to locate them. There is no better solution in our field at present.”

Jonathan Bower, the founder and CEO of Voxbet, remarked, “We are incredibly excited to welcome Andy as our CEO. Our aim is to achieve rapid growth and expand our customer base worldwide. He has been a driving force at some of the leading betting companies, and he spearheaded William Hill Online’s focus on mobile and voice betting.”

“Andy is a visionary leader with a proven track record of success.”

Andys insightful analysis and strategic foresight have been tremendously beneficial to our team. When he speaks, people listen intently. This has been invaluable.

Concerning the rebranding, Voxbet believes this move demonstrates the company’s dedication to revolutionizing the way individuals wager on sports, regardless of their age or geographic location.

Power continued, “Genuine innovation is scarce in our sector. But when it occurs, it’s significant and widely adopted. We’ve excelled in comprehending text betting, which provides us with a substantial edge in the realm of voice betting.

“Therefore, transitioning our name to Voxbet is logical because it immediately conveys our core competency: understanding natural language betting. It also underscores our vision for the future of wagering.”
