Beginning in 2017, Choctaw Casino & Resort has significantly amplified its visibility within the North Texas athletic landscape. They’ve invested millions in endorsements and collaborations with regional teams and groups.

To truly make an impact, they’ve secured agreements with three Texas sports icons as brand representatives: Troy Aikman, Pudge Rodriguez, and Darren Woodson. These individuals are legends in North Texas, and their four-year alliance with Choctaw indicates a substantial effort to elevate the casino resort’s image.

“We are delighted to welcome Troy, Pudge, and Darren to the Choctaw family,” remarked Janie Dillard, Senior Executive Officer of Commerce for the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. “These collaborations are going to be transformative for us.”

The objective is evident: to attract the notice of North Texans, who already constitute a considerable portion of the casino’s clientele. Aikman himself, now an ESPN commentator and Hall of Famer, recognized the magnitude of the initiative, stating, “Choctaw Casino & Resort is undertaking a significant endeavor in the realm of sports, and I’m enthusiastic to participate.”

This action represents nearly an 800% surge in Choctaw’s financial commitment to North Texas sports since 2017 – they are undoubtedly determined to become a widely recognized name.

Following their 2018 XFL Championship victory, the Arlington Renegades christened Globe Life Park, the previous residence of the Texas Rangers, as Choctaw Stadium.

The Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma expanded their presence beyond the stadium, fully embracing sports partnerships within the Dallas region. They lent their name to the Invited Celebrity Classic (golf) and secured official collaborations with a prestigious lineup of Texas franchises: the Rangers, the Dallas Stars, the Dallas Mavericks, and even the PBR (Professional Bull Riders). Additionally, they aligned themselves with major events such as the AT&T Byron Nelson golf tournament, the Dallas Marathon, and the renowned Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. Essentially, if it holds significance in Dallas-Fort Worth, the Choctaw Nation seeks involvement.

They even enlisted prominent figures like Troy Aikman, Pudge Rodriguez, and Darren Woodson. As Woodson, the Dallas Cowboys icon, remarked, “My experience with Choctaw has been exceptional, from exclusive gatherings to enjoying football at The District.”

Baseball Hall of Famer Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez encapsulated it succinctly: “The robust connection between Choctaw Casinos & Resorts and the Texas Rangers further solidified this as an ideal partnership.”
