Australias telecommunications regulator, the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), is taking action against unlawful overseas gaming platforms. These sites, considered to breach the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, are being restricted by internet providers at the ACMA’s behest.

This recent measure focuses on fourteen websites, encompassing well-known destinations such as Golden Lady Casino and Spin Samurai. The ACMA stresses that these platforms frequently lack essential customer safeguards, exposing Australians to potential financial detriment.

Since 2019, the ACMA’s blocking initiatives have expanded to encompass 375 illicit gambling websites. Their endeavors, combined with new regulations implemented in 2017, have resulted in the withdrawal of over 150 illegal sites from the Australian market.

The nation of Australia is taking action to combat unlawful internet gaming. At the behest of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), internet service providers have restricted access to two widely used websites, “WeLoveLottery” and “RedFoxLotto.” These platforms, which provided entry to large global lotteries, are the initial targets of this strategy for functioning without proper authorization within Australia.
