Caesars Entertainment is joining forces with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians to introduce a mobile sports wagering application in North Carolina. This collaboration expands upon their current association and arrives as the state recently authorized sports gambling. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians already possesses a permit for mobile sports wagering within the state, and through this agreement, Caesar’s will furnish the platform for users in North Carolina, awaiting regulatory consent. Although the formal commencement of sports betting isn’t until March 11th, inhabitants of North Carolina will have the opportunity to pre-enroll and place funds into the Caesar’s sportsbook app beginning March 1st. This alliance between Caesar’s and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians currently encompasses physical sportsbooks at both the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel.

Caesars Entertainment and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians have agreed to continue their collaboration, granting Caesars sole authority to manage mobile sports wagering throughout the tribe’s territory in Western North Carolina. This encompasses the tribe’s two current gaming establishments within the state.

Eric Hession, Head of Caesars Digital, conveyed excitement regarding the renewed alliance and the impending rollout: “We’ve had a positive association with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians for more than twenty years. This fresh accord enables us to expand upon our existing physical sports betting collaboration and deliver an even more enhanced sports wagering encounter to our patrons.”

Principal Chief Richard Sneed of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians further noted that the tribe is “delighted” about the prolonged partnership, proclaiming: “We anticipate continuing to provide prospects that elevate the future for our tribal members.”
